We hope to ignite imagination, innovation, experimentation, fun at this gathering, to connect intersecting circles to revitalize community through creativity as foundation of resistance, both envisioning and enacting change.This workshop will start with contemplative experience of the current art installation of internationally renowned NM/NY based artist Jill O'Bryan, Mapping Resonance; “ The story of place, connection, meditation, history, are told throughout this comprehensive exhibition “ . Arlene is a writer, speaker, consultant and cultural activist who serves on the US Department of Arts and Culture , and whose focus is the intersection of culture, politics and spirituality.Co-facilitators will be John Flax ( Theater Grottesco) , Deirdre Morris , Veena Vasista, Danielle Reddick, Rulan Tangen and other leaders to be confirmed !These will be held respectfully in the traditional territories of the Tewa, Towa , Keres , and Ohlone peoples in the regions now known as Santa Fe and San Francisco.ABOUT M.O.M.B -MOMB is a workshop series initiated by Dancing Earth's Rulan Tangen to be led by different community creative leaders and hosted at different sites. We center relationships, reciprocity and respect and will culminate in Global Water Dance on June 24 at Santa Fe Botanical Gardens.Coordinated cooperatively as a volunteer and in -kind effort by by Dancing Earth with individual creative cultural leaders, Santa Fe Art Institute Water Rights residency, Center for Contemporary Arts, SITE Santa Fe, Retake Our Democracy, A Blade Of Grass , New Mexico Dance Coalition, Pomegranate Dance Studio, Santa Fe Botanical Gardens, Dance Mission, Dance for Revolt(ing)Times Festival and other emerging partners.
