The New York City Department of Transportation’s Car Free Earth Day has gone virtual this year with a robust lineup of live streaming engagements on Earth Day, April 22, 2020, including webinars, panel discussions, performances, and activities, as well as engaging educational resources that will be available free to the public over the next few months to explore from the comforts of our homes.
Despite the agency being unable to produce its annual Car Free Earth Day on the streets, we invite everyone to join us online to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day made possible by many of New York City’s premier public agencies, private institutions, artists and dance companies. We hope this material encourages everyone to live greener lifestyles that will lead to a more sustainable future.
Visit nyc.gov/carfreenyc for the complete event schedule to participate in live engagements today, and to explore the educational resources at your leisure.
