Movement As Medicine:

Resilience in Motion w/ Rulan Tangen

RELEASE. REBOUND. REVITALIZE

Sundays, April 12, 11-12am MDT/ 10-11am PDT

This hour-long class is for all ages and experience levels, and builds on previous class teachings of circularity, direction, rhythm, stamina, and balance. With this class, we brush, shake, push, twist and bounce to let go of restrictions. Then we cultivate buoyancy between underground and skyworld, moving freely between high levels into soft landings, with joy and care.

ABOUT THIS CLASS
This hour long class invites people of all ages and abilities to build upon embodied knowledge of the previous classes, this time with a nonstop rhythmic flow based on the weight shift of walking. We start by grounding ourselves by articulating the feet, then try various rhythmic foot patterns, directions, coordinations and level changes. We counterbalance movements of the lower body with the upper body, left with right, forward and backward, past and future, bringing movement to counter isolation and celebrate our collectivity! Playlist includes tracks by Navajo DJ Randy B, Robert Mirabal.

SLIDING SCALE DONATION: $0-$100
