Being the daughter of Sergeant Major Anthony and Britta Dokes, she moved all over the world studying and performing other genre's of dance; including jazz, contemporary, and hip hop. She earned her B.F.A in modern dance at Hollins University. Kim has also trained at the Alvin Ailey summer intensive program in NY.
